The quaint traditional Japanese house, "Izutsuya," stands quietly in front of Shintomi-cho Station. This three-story wooden structure was built approximately 100 years ago in the late Taisho era. Once a beloved confectionery of the "Shintomi-za" theater that stood before it, the building lost its vibrancy as the owner departed, and graffiti marred its exterior. Upon seeing the lifelessness of the structure, we were determined to revive it after a century as "the design gallery.”
